On our rides to the north, we finish the tours in the border town of Lao Cai. Once in Lao Cai, We take the overnight soft sleeper train 4 berths per cabin or provide a VIP private coach back to Hanoi (4hr.) The cost of shipping the bikes is included in our price above.
All of our guided motorbike tours include an English-speaking guide out front and a mechanic acting as a sweeper in the back. On the road, if you want to stop to take photos, enjoy the scenery or meet people along the way, no problem. This Ha Giang border motorbike tour is designed for experienced riders, with 5–8 hours of daily riding on demanding mountain roads, long distances, and occasional technical sections in remote terrain. Conditions include high-altitude passes, changing weather, and extended stretches of isolated riding along Vietnam’s northern border.
The route consists primarily of paved mountain roads (70–90%) with optional off-road detours, connecting high passes, cliff-edge sections, and remote valleys near the China border. Riders will experience quiet back roads, ethnic minority villages, and sections far beyond the standard Ha Giang loop.

We require that you have you home country motorbike licence to join on one of our tours. You must have personal health insurance or Travel insurance that covers Motorbike in Vietnam to cover you in-case of accident or illness. To drive a Ural sidecar motorbike on tour you must have a sidecar licence and sidecar driving experience.
Passports and Visa
You must have a valid passport with 6 month before expiry date to obtain a Vietnam tourist visa. We can arrange a visa on arrival letter please have (2) 3 x 4cm photos, and bring $USD to pay the visa fee at immigration at the airport, rates vary per country. Comprehensive Damage Insurance Optional:
Our insurance policy covers lost, theft or any damage to the motorbike caused by an accident or fall, you will be fully covered in-case the bike is damaged beyond repair.
