You don’t have to worry about keeping up with the group or missing a turn, you can travel at your own pace. We travel this way to keep the group safe and be there in case anything goes wrong. We want to spend the most time on tour driving through Vietnam’ mountains instead of spending the last day of your ride on the flat, busy highway back to Hanoi.
The roads closer to Hanoi and its suburbs’ are busy and dangerous. Trucks, buses, cars and other motorbikes make the entry back into Hanoi during rush hour a nerve-racking experience.
At the Lao Cai Train station, we have a guest house to take a shower, eat a nice meal and have a few beers with your friends to decompress after the ride, the train compartments are 4 berth soft sleepers with A/C. The train departs Lao Cai at 8:30 pm and arrives in Hanoi at 6:30 am.
You save money because you don’t have to pay for a hotel room in Hanoi on the last day of the ride.
We put the motorbikes in the baggage car of the train and make our way back to Hanoi. When we arrive in Hanoi we collect the bikes from the train and drive through the quiet streets of Hanoi as the city wakes up to our garage (approx. 15 min.). There we park the bikes and transfer you to the hotel or arrange airport transfer (garage is approx. 40min to Airport).
