Terms and Conditions
- TOUR (AND RENTAL) AGREEMENT:
The tour (and rental) agreement only becomes effective upon written confirmation of participation from Cuong’s Motorbike Adventure and/or Ural Tours Vietnam Co Ltd. license # 01-205 / 20 10/ TCDL-GP LHQT Hanoi Vietnam, hereinafter referred to as “the organiser”, and is deemed to be binding for the contractual parties.
- SCOPE OF SERVICES:
(1) The scope of services is derived exclusively from the tour description that is valid at the time of booking. All services that are not specifically listed as included are not included in the tour price.
(2) The organiser reserves the right to modify the tour, in particular the tour route and the accommodation, provided that this is necessary on important grounds. The organiser shall thereby endeavor to maintain the tour’s characteristics and to provide equivalent services.
- REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PARTICIPANT:
(1) Participation on the trips and tours is possible with motorcycle models that meet the demands of the respective trip or tour!
(2) Only persons in possession of a valid driving licence at the time of the tour are allowed to participate.
(3) The participant is obliged to wear motorcycle riding gear that is appropriate for the demands of the tour. The wearing of helmets is mandatory, without exception.
(4) If the participant takes part in the tour with his or her own motorcycle, then the participant bears the sole responsibility for ensuring that the vehicle is in perfect technical condition and in compliance with all regulations and requirements stipulated by law and by the organiser. The organiser and the tour guide are under no obligation to verify the participant’s compliance with these requirements.
(5) It is the sole responsibility of the participant to determine whether his or her individual competence and abilities are sufficient to cope with the specified route. The organiser and the tour guide are under no obligation to determine and verify the participant’s competence and abilities.
- MOTORCYCLE RENTALS:
(1) It is possible to hire Cuong’s Motorbike Adventure motorcycles on some of the tours. The booking of a motorcycle must take place at the time of the tour booking. The rented motorcycle may only be used for participation in the booked tour.
(2) The rental period shall not be interrupted by unavailability of the vehicle caused by the participant or which is due to the incompetence of the participant.
- PASSPORT, CUSTOMS, VISA AND IMMUNISATION REGULATIONS:
The participant is solely responsible for obtaining entry visas for each country and complying with these regulations, in particular for obtaining any necessary visas or immunizations.
- INFRINGEMENTS OF TRAFFIC REGULATIONS OR THE TOUR GUIDE’S INSTRUCTIONS:
If the participant’s actions constitute a gross infringement of the tour guide’s instructions or of traffic regulations, the organiser can withdraw from the contract and take possession of the rental motorcycle. In such case, there will be absolutely no reimbursement of the tour or rental price.
- Limits of LIABILITY:
(1) The participant takes part in the tour at his or her own risk.
For damage that the participant sustains during the course of the tour, the liability of Cuong’s Motorbike Adventure and/or Ural Tours Vietnam Co Ltd. license # 01-205 / 20 10/ TCDL-GP LHQT Hanoi Vietnam, and their respective agents is limited to a total sum of three times the price of the tour and motorcycle rental, provided that the participant’s damage was not caused either intentionally or through gross negligence on the part of Cuong’s Motorbike Adventure and/or Ural Tours Vietnam Co Ltd. license # 01-205 / 20 10/ TCDL-GP LHQT Hanoi Vietnam, and their respective agents, or if the organiser is responsible for damage sustained by the participant solely through the fault of one of the service providers. The limitation of liability shall not apply in the case of personal injury to the participant.
(2) Before entering into the tour, the participant shall sign a personal declaration for the limitation of liability.
The participants are hereby made aware that the organisers are obliged to prevent the participant from participating on the tour if he or she has not accepted and/or signed the liability waiver.
(3) The liability of Cuong’s Motorbike Adventure and/or Ural Tours Vietnam Co Ltd. license # 01-205 / 20 10/ TCDL-GP LHQT Hanoi Vietnam, or the tour guide is excluded for material damage and personal injury caused by the participant, provided that no corresponding personal liability insurance cover exists. In any case, the liability is limited to the scope of the insurance cover of the liability insurance in the event of actual damage. In such case, the participant shall indemnify and hold harmless Cuong’s Motorbike Adventure and/or Ural Tours Vietnam Co Ltd. license # 01-205 / 20 10/ TCDL-GP LHQT Hanoi Vietnam, and the tour guide.
(4) Participants must take out the appropriate type of medical and evacuation insurance in case of accident and injury suffered by the participant and must be born by the participant.
(5) Participant is fully liable and must pay for any damage to the motorcycle during the tour. Cuong’s offers a compressive insurance coverage at additional cost that covers damage to the motorbike during the tour. Please ask for price list of replacement parts for more information.
(6) The Guide reserves the right to cancel the tour if the participant does not follow the rules set out by Cuong’s Motorbike adventure.
(7) Should a participant suffer an accident or illness causing his or her evacuation then he or she will not be entitled to any reimbursement. Should Cuong’s Motorbike Adventure provide unable to complete the tour schedule for the remaining members of such a group were injured participant commands the full attention of the guide, in the interest of that participants safety then the remaining participants will also not be entitled to any reimbursement.
(8) Should the participant leave the tour by their own choice before the tour completion then he or she is not entitled to any reimbursement. Nor will he or she be permitted to use any of the equipment of Cuong’s Motorbike Adventure. Such the participant is also responsible for all cost incurred after leaving the tour.
(9) Photos and videos produced by Cuong’s Motorbike Adventure are the property of Cuong’s Motorbike Adventure. The copyrights rest with Cuong’s Motorbike Adventure. Cuong’s Motorbike Adventure can use all such material for advertising and marketing purposes, including images in which participants can be recognized, without any charge from the participant. Participants who submit photos to Cuong’s Motorbike Adventure agree to allow the use of such photos by Cuong’s Motorbike Adventure for advertising and marketing purposes.
- PAYMENT:
(1) A deposit of 200$ of the total amount shall be paid upon time of booking. The remaining amount is due before the tour begins.
(2) When paying by credit card, the total amount is charged upon issuing the invoice. Any bank charges incurred are borne by the credit card holder.
- WITHDRAWAL FROM AND TRANSFER OF THE AGREEMENT:
(1) The person making the booking is entitled to withdraw from the agreement at any time.
If the person making the booking withdraws, the following cancellation fees will be charged instead of the tour price:
– 20% Tour deposit eight weeks before tour commencement,
– 50% Tour deposit in the case of withdrawal between eight and four weeks before tour commencement,
– 85% Tour deposit in the case of withdrawal within four weeks of tour commencement or non-notified failure to participate.
Notification of withdrawal shall be made by means of registered mail, fax or e-mail. This will then be confirmed in writing by the organiser by post, fax or e-mail, and the withdrawal will only be deemed to have been accepted from that point in time.
The deadlines specified above refer to receipt of the withdrawal notification by the organiser. The organiser is entitled to offset the cancellation fee against the participation fees already paid. Otherwise, participation fees already paid shall be reimbursed in full. Participants may not be reimbursed for any services not taken advantage of locally. The participant is strongly advised to take out travel cancellation insurance.
(2) The participant may transfer the contractual relationship to another person, as long as this person fulfils all the prerequisites for participation and the organiser is notified of the transfer within an appropriate period before the tour departs. The transferor and the new participant are jointly and severally liable for the unpaid fees as well as for any additional costs arising from the transfer. No transfer is possible in the case of airline tickets that have already been issued! Specific conditions apply to various services, such as ticket bookings.
- TOUR CANCELLATION:
(1) The organiser reserves the right to postpone or completely cancel the tour at any time on important grounds. Furthermore, the organiser is entitled to cancel the tour up to one week before tour commencement if the minimum number of participants has not been reached. In such case, the participant will be notified promptly in writing, by letter, e-mail or telephone.
(2) In the event of postponement or cancellation of a tour, the participant has the right to choose between reimbursement of the participation price or participation on another of the organiser’s tours of equal value, provided that this is possible for the organiser.
(3) External services that are not directly connected to a booking made with Cuong’s Motorbike Adventure cannot be reimbursed.
- INEFFICACY:
The inefficacy of individual terms of these travel and rental terms and conditions shall not result in the inefficacy of the remaining provisions or of the tour (and rental) agreement.
- APPLICABLE LAW:
Vietnamese law is applicable, unless contested by other compelling legal provisions.

Ride of your life!
If you're looking to explore Vietnam, going with Cuong's on a ride is the BEST way to do it.
Phu led me to some amazing views, but of course not without a little challenge. Despite me having no experience on off-roads, he took me to routes that were challenging enough but still well within my limits.
He also made sure everything from food to accom was settled; all I needed to do was get on the bike.
You'd be hard pressed to find a better tour than this. Even if you're going solo, you'll have an amazing adventure with plenty of memories to take with you. I'm definitely coming back for another tour!
Great motorcycle ride, from Hanoi nort and west to Ha Giang province
My wife and I did the 8D8N Ha Giang Far North trip (starting Oct 23/2019).
It was a group ride and we had enough people to get a 4 man crew and a support truck for our luggage.
Phú was the lead rider, Tập the mechanic/sweeper rider, Giới driving the truck, and Đức (aka Edward) an informative tour guide).
We had a couple more serious off-road riders, with the rest of us with less experience away from good roads but still up for a bit of a challenge.
The crew did a great job of managing our varying abilities splitting the group when necessary but still taking taking all of us off the main roads and on routes less travelled and more interesting.

I was the sidecar pilot for Paul B and agree with every word of his review. I ride the Ural at home in Dalat and had been wanting to take this tour for a number of years. Paul’s first visit to Vietnam was the perfect opportunity and we took it.
If you want a serene, calm, and uneventful motorbike tour, I suggest you call someone else. If you want a wonderful, exciting, first-time experience, this is the place to go.
I normally HATE tours, yet I enjoyed every bit of this one. You can go at your own pace, stop and take photos or admire the scenery anytime you want, and the crew always makes sure that you’re okay.

How we travel and why we are different
Adventure rides - with your experience in mind. Specially selected routes that take us to the remotest part of northern Vietnam. We ride quality motorbikes, properly maintained for comfort and safety, we have created the best motorbike adventures and experiences that Vietnam has to offer.
Guides and Mechanics
We ride with two guides at all times. An English-speaking guides out front and a mechanic/sweeper in the back. this is added safety to make sure everyone keeps together on the correct route, is available to fix flat tires or make repairs to the bikes and is there in case of an emergency on the road.
We take first aid seriously and have precautions in place to deal with emergency situations. We have built a network of contacts to emergency transportation and private health clinics to handle emergency situations, and contacts at international hospitals in Hanoi to receive anyone that needs extra care. Our years of experience help in dealing with insurance claims that you might have to make and know the proper procedures to get you the documentation required for your claim.
Riders' safety and comfort are what makes us different - great bikes, special routes and an experienced team make us the best choice in Vietnam.
Riding Gear
We provide proper riding gear with padded motorbike jackets and BMW Motorrad riding pants, gloves, rain gear and DOT, Snell & ECE Approved Helmets. On tour, we provide waterproof “dry bags” to carry your personal luggage. Support vehicle available on request, the additional cost is 100$ per day per group, including fuel and driver. Riding Gear Included on Tour
How we get ready to depart on tour
- We pick you up at your hotel the day before departure and take you down to our garage to sign up, make payment for the tour, get fitted out in riding gear and select your bike from the collection. Please bring your passport and driver’s licence with you.
- On the day of departure we pick you up at your hotel at 7:30 am and take you back to our garage (15 min drive from Hanoi’s Old Quarter) get packed on the bike to leave on tour, Please check out, and bring your passport with you, if you need to leave luggage we can store it for you in our office in the garage.
- We ride at a leisurely pace – taking time to stop and take photos, have a drink and hang out with the locals. We create our itineraries to make the most of the day on the bikes. Remember our tours are for travelling and exploring, it’s not a race.
- While on tour we start our days early, meet for breakfast at 7:00 am (be packed and ready to go) and on the bikes at 8:00 am so we can enjoy the day – we plan to arrive around 4:00 pm at our destination of the day.
- Picnic lunches along the way so we can have a flexible schedule and can find beautiful spots to relax and have lunch, some days we stop in small towns and have a Vietnamese lunch at a local restaurant.
- As we check in the hotels at night we will collect your passports to give to the hotel staff to register with local police. Your passport is safe and will be returned to you the next morning at checkout. * Please bring your passport and keep it in a safe place while on tour.
- Dinner is around 7:00 pm, we will meet in the lobby and go to a local restaurant, everything is included on tour except alcohol. Beers are under 1 $USD.
Quality Motorbikes
We take pride in having the largest fleet of bikes of any tour company in Vietnam. Well maintained and set up for touring in Vietnam. All of our bikes are officially registered to the company so there is no worry that you'll be riding a second-hand bike with a fake number plate. We don't rent out our motorcycles and only use them on guided tours.
Guides
Our guides have years of experience travelling Vietnam and know the roads many small tracks that take you off the beaten track. We tailor our itineraries to your riding style and road conditions and are flexible for the adventurous at heart. As we ride we look to explore and will not rush you to the guesthouse if there is riding to be done, It's the journey, not the destination.
Accommodations
We don't cut corners on your comfort, we offer single rooms in the best hotels and guest houses available, and have selected special home-stays that offer an opportunity to stay and eat with families in houses on stilts. Over the years we have worked with locals to make sure our guest are comfortable. Clean hot showers, good food and plenty of cold beer at the end of each days riding.
Food on Tour
Vietnamese food is excellent at the places we stay in. For breakfast, we have eggs and fresh bread, crêpe with honey or noodles. For Lunch, we bring imported meats and cheeses and purchase fresh bread to make picnics along the way or stop in local restaurants for a Vietnamese flavour. Dinners are with families or local restaurants. Meals consist of fresh vegetables, pork, chicken, beef, tofu, eggs, buffalo and other local specialities. We can accommodate vegetarian and non-pork eaters, please let us know any special dietary requirements.
Safety on Tour
20 years of experience on the road, local knowledge, connections and first aid training helps ensure a safe and happy journey. We travel with a full first aid kit and have a network of private and local health clinics along the routes we can access. We put client safety first and make sure we know road conditions and judge clients abilities on tour to adjust route selection. We have worked with client's insurance companies to provide the proper documentation to file a claim if needed and have plans for evacuation if the situation calls for it.
